Day 08 or the shortest stage…..

..that was clear from the outset but planned differently in advance. T
he tour should be almost 190 kilometers long and take 4 1/2 hours. So not too long.
However, the number of possible hairpin bends made us re-plan the route after Uli had intervened.
And so it ends up being about 160 kilometers and just under 3 1/2 hours.

But they are really relaxed and there are no hairpin bends.
It rather swings through the landscape and my “follower” clearly enjoys it.
So, after leaving Avignon, which is full of traffic, we get to the surrounding area for a few kilometers only on well-developed roads, but then it gets much better, as described above.
And so we reach our hotel around 1:00 p.m. and check in.
Since the nearby Chinese restaurant with a buffet doesn’t open until 7 p.m., we have to bridge a few hours of “idleness”.
I had packed cleaning cloths at home and use the time to rid my machine of at least some dead insects. Uli likes to use the wet wipes that are offered, but doesn’t really like the mechanical work involved and after a while limits himself to just the chrome parts. Always works with a Harley, of course…
And then he withdraws to the “mattress listening service”.
On the other hand, I use the time to serve the block earlier than shortly before midnight and therefore to get into the hay a little earlier today after eating.

Ps: By the way, I was pointed out this morning by Gandalf the Gray that I withheld information yesterday. Please let me state for yesterday that the elderly gentleman ate and had a salad for dinner, and that seems to be important to him, green and red parts. I ask certain willing readers to make a mental note of this……
